Telangana Police again arrested suspended Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader and MLA T Raja Singh on Thursday. The police arrested Singh from his residence in Hyderabad over making derogatory comments against Prophet Muhammad Singh.

Earlier on Wednesday, massive protests took place against the MLA T Raja Singh’s remarks made on Prophet Muhammad Singh.

The police officials on Thursday said, T Raja Singh has been arrested and more details into the matter are awaited.

Meanwhile, Raja in the alleged derogatory comments against Prophet Muhammad was produced before the Nampally Court in Hyderabad and was released after the ACMM court returned his demand application.

Moreover, after making derogatory comments against Prophet Muhammad Singh was suspended from BJP.

“You have expressed views contrary to the Party’s position on various matters, which is in clear violation of Rule XXV. 10 (a) of the constitution of the Bharatiya Janata Party,” the suspension letter reads.

The head of the disciplinary committee Om Pathak wrote the suspension letter and said, “I have been directed to convey to you that pending further inquiry, you are suspended from the party and from your responsibilities/assignments if any, with immediate effect. Please also show cause within 10 days from the date of this notice as to why should you not be expelled from the party. Your detailed reply must reach the undersigned no later than 2nd of September 2022.”

However, at the Dabeerpura Police Station FIR was registered against T Raja Singh under IPC sections 153(A), 295, and 505.
