In the 1996 assembly polls, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan defeated Congress leader Hridaymohon Jain. After winning the election, Shivraj and his wife Sadhana went to Hridaymohon’s house to seek blessings. This incident made the news for some time. Recently, the veteran Congress leader fell ill and was hospitalised in a Bhopal hospital. Upon hearing the news, the wife of the Chief Minister rushed to the hospital and made all necessary arrangements for the ailing leader’s treatment. Despite Hridaymohon criticising the Chief Minister in all public meetings, this humanitarian gesture has moved him so much that he now praises the Chief Minister and his family.
