HOW ARTISTS CAN MAXIMISE THEIR DIGITAL AUDIENCE DURING LOCKDOWN

The career paths of artists, musicians and other performers are often synonymous with struggle. A few may rise to the top and gain tremendous success, fame and money, but thousands languish at the bottom for years. When lockdown was unceremoniously imposed on us earlier this year, artists and performers were affected terribly. They lost sponsorships, missed opportunities to perform live at concerts and earn through ticket sales, and were unable to create new work while stuck at home. However, they soon turned to the digital medium as an easy way to stay in touch with their existing audience and tap into an entirely new one. The world was suddenly available to them on a digital platter.

As their audience continued to grow significantly, so did their ambitions and need for a professional space to create fresh and new works to cater to a wider demographic. The space had to be equipped with the latest technology, while following strict hygiene protocols to keep the dreaded virus at bay. The launch of RRE Studios in Faridabad this year, addressed this need specifically. With significant Covid-19 precautions in place, RRE Studios is the perfect space for artists across genres to maximise their digital audience despite the lockdown. Founded by music composer Rajshree Agarwal, this new recording space has a distinct advantage over its competitors. Equipped with a master console room, jam room and shoot space, as well as a dubbing room and music production or video edit room, the studio fulfills a host of needs with utmost convenience. Their well-designed website allows artists to set up appointments to explore and use the studio.

Here are a few methods artists should adopt to increase their digital audience during these difficult times:

1. USING PROFESSIONAL RECORDING SPACES

The focus of RRE Studios is to produce music and videos across genres and in all dimensions. The state-of-the-art studio space enables artists to record beautiful vocals, perform live with instruments, produce music and shoot indoor videos in any dimensions of their need and choice. The cherry on top is the on-site facility for green rooms and café, which is a welcome proposition for artists who have planned for day long shoots.

2. EFFECTIVE USE OF SOCIAL MEDIA

Social media is now considered the most effective business strategy for any kind of profession to see organic growth. Though many artists shy away from the public aspect of social media, they are aware of its immense importance in attracting a crowd for their performances. With everyone stuck at home, social media has become the biggest outlet and most convincing agent for most people. Waking up to its potential, many artists have begun to hire digital marketing agencies and content creators to design social media strategies specifically for them. This allows them to concentrate on what they do best—create. Apart from its studio services, the team behind RRE Studios is highly proficient with social media management. They are known for curating exclusive campaigns, providing content writing services, making effective creatives and graphics, as well as ensuring a regulated schedule for social media posts and uploading.

3. HIRING A GOOD TEAM FOR PROMOTIONS, EDITING

Many artists are proficient in handling their own social media handles and strategies. However, they need help with creating digital content that stands out in this highly-competitive online arena. A good team is required to help them with editing their promotional content and creating campaigns that ensure successful results. RRE Studios cater to recording needs as well as every other aspect of content creation. They compose and provide original songs, musical recreations, commercial jingles, radio spots, and background scores for any kind of work. They are also competent at storytelling, creating music videos, corporate videos, promotional videos, product show reels, artist showreels, and animation skills.

It is high time that artists, musicians and performers woke up to the potential of the ever-growing digital market by setting a foot firmly in the door. For those still struggling to adapt to these mediums or looking for a helping hand, RRE Studios located in Faridabad in Delhi NCR, is their best bet.

Published

on

MUMBAI: Tahir Raj Bhasin recently revealed that he was rejected 250 times before he was signed on by Aditya Chopra for ‘Mardaani’.

Tahir said, “Anything that’s worthwhile takes time and this is something I understood when I first came to Mumbai. I was rejected from some 250 auditions over 3 years before Mardaani but I used this as positive fuel and feedback. It meant I needed to grow and growth came from workshops and hours of practice.” He added, “The improvements that came as a result of obstacles prepared me to be propelled when the time was right. Strength lay in getting hit and in the will to keep moving forward. Today’s world is all about that simple message. We have all been affected directly or indirectly by an unforeseen time and courage is to make ourselves better, fitter and stronger for the test of time to come.”

Despite the overwhelming number of rejections, Tahir never lost hope and believed he was destined to shine in Bollywood. He said, “To be honest, I never saw my initial time in Mumbai as a struggling phase. It was an aspiring phase. I was visualising a dream and aspiring to make it real and it’s the hardship and journey that make the successes worth celebrating.”
