Tom Felton, the British actor best known for playing Draco Malfoy in the Harry Potter movies, will make a comeback to the Wizarding World, but on stage rather than screen. During a brief 19-week run at the Lyric Theatre in New York City, Tom Felton will reprise his role as an older Draco in Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, marking his Broadway debut.
Tom Felton calls it a surreal, full-circle moment as he returns to the role at the same age Draco is in the play, marking the first time a member of the franchise’s film cast will appear in the stage production. Tickets will go on sale in June, and performances start on November 11, 2025.
Tom Felton’s Role And Broadway’s ‘Cursed Child’
He will reprise his role as an older Draco Malfoy for a limited 19-week run at the Lyric Theatre. The play officially announced the news on social media: “Tom Felton will reprise his film role of Draco Malfoy in the Broadway production of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child. Performances begin November 11 for a limited 19-week engagement.”
Felton’s return marks the first time a Harry Potter film actor will perform in the stage adaptation. He’ll be on stage from November 11, 2025, through March 22, 2026.
Tom Felton Take On The Opportunity
In a heartfelt statement, Tom Felton shared his excitement:
“Being a part of the Harry Potter films has been one of the greatest honours of my life. Joining this production will be a full-circle moment for me, because when I begin performances in Cursed Child this fall, I’ll also be the exact age Draco is in the play. It’s surreal to be stepping back into his shoes — and of course his iconic platinum blond hair — and I am thrilled to be able to see his story through and to share it with the greatest fan community in the world.”
Fans can sign up for early access to tickets at HarryPotterBroadway.com until June 9 at 5:59 PM ET. Early sales start June 10, and general tickets go on sale June 12 at 11 AM ET.
Set in the future, 19 years beyond the events of the original books, the narrative centers around the children of the iconic characters, including Draco Malfoy’s son, Scorpius.
