Hollywood actor Tom Cruise will be bringing his edge-of-the-seat mission to Indian theaters before the international release. Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning will now hit Indian theaters on May 17, 2025, six days before its international release. The film was initially scheduled for release on May 23.
Early Release Excites Indian Fans
The decision for early release came as a response to widespread fan demand and anticipation. Paramount Pictures India officially confirmed the switch through social media, revealing the new release date in a caption: “#MissionImpossible – The Final Reckoning now releases early in India. New date – 17th May. Releasing in English, Hindi, Tamil & Telugu.”
The fans are showing their eagerness about the early release. A fan tweeted, “The last #Mission Impossible comes, and it’s been my childhood favorite! Just one req please release it with Eng subs. I’d like to see it in original language, not dubbed. Please release it with subs. insist on subs from studios or distributors. pleaseeeee.” Another fan posted, “Thanks @TomCruise anna. India will see it first in the world,” whereas one more wrote, “NOOOOOO @ParamountPics please prepone global release to 17th May, I may die with FOMO.”

In this last installment, Tom Cruise reprises his role as Ethan Hunt, who is once again called upon to save the day. The movie is directed by Christopher McQuarrie, who has directed all the earlier movies in the franchise since Rogue Nation. Shot initially as Dead Reckoning—Part One and Two, the seventh installment has now been re-titled.
Tom Cruise is joined by Hayley Atwell, Ving Rhames, Simon Pegg, Vanessa Kirby, Pom Klemetieff, Shea Whigham, Angela Bassett, Esai Morales, Henry Czerny, Holt McCallany, Nick Offerman, and Greg Tarzan Davis. The movie will be released by Paramount Pictures and Skydance and is to be seen in Indian theaters on May 17 in English, Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu.
