Actor Mark Strong has joined the cast of Apple TV+’s series adaptation of Neuromancer.
According to Variety, Strong will star alongside previously announced leads Callum Turner and Briana Middleton in the show, which is based on William Gibson’s novel of the same name. Apple picked up the series in February 2024.
The show follows “a damaged, top-rung super-hacker named Case (Turner) who is thrust into a web of digital espionage and high-stakes crime with his partner Molly (Middleton), a razor-girl assassin with mirrored eyes, aiming to pull a heist on a corporate dynasty with untold secrets.”
Strong’s recent television credits include Dune: Prophecy for Max and The Penguin for HBO. He has also appeared in shows such as Temple, Low Winter Sun, and Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance. Known primarily for his film work, Strong has starred in the Kingsman franchise as well as Tár, Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy, and 1917.
First published in 1984, Neuromancer was Gibson’s debut novel and played a key role in shaping the cyberpunk genre. The book won multiple prestigious awards, including the Hugo Award, the Nebula Award, and the Philip K. Dick Award.
