In Court, Diddy’s Jealous Rage Revealed by Cassie’s Former Best Friend

During the ongoing sex trafficking trial of rapper Sean “Diddy” Combs, a former friend of Cassie Ventura gave disturbing testimony. Kerry Morgan, once Ventura’s closest friend, said Combs assaulted her brutally because he suspected Ventura of being unfaithful. Morgan spoke at a Manhattan federal court on Monday.

“He attacked me from behind, choked me, and left his finger marks on my neck. When I got up, he boomeranged a hanger at my head,” Morgan told the jury, according to the New York Post. She said the assault happened at Ventura’s apartment in Hollywood.

Combs allegedly demanded answers about Cassie

Morgan testified that Combs was furious and obsessed with learning, “who Cassie is cheating on me with.” After the violent attack, Morgan said she visited an urgent care center where doctors told her she had a concussion. She recalled feeling dizzy and vomiting multiple times after the incident.

Friendship strained after the attack

Morgan and Ventura had been close friends since their modeling days in early 2000s New York. Days after the assault, the two met again at a Hollywood pizza shop. But Morgan said Ventura didn’t take the incident seriously. “Cassie accused me of over-exaggerating,” she recalled.

Despite initially preparing to file a lawsuit against Combs, Morgan said she never followed through. She accepted a payment of $30,000 instead.

Non-disclosure agreement ended their friendship

Morgan also revealed she had to sign a non-disclosure agreement. “Cassie had me sign a non-disclosure agreement and that was the last time we ever spoke to each other, ending our friendship which started when we were 15 and 16,” she told the jury. “I draw my line at physical abuse. I don’t know why she doesn’t reach out to me. I’m sure she doesn’t have the same phone number anymore.”

Cassie’s legal battle with Combs

Cassie Ventura ended her relationship with Combs in 2018. She later filed a lawsuit accusing him of abuse and reached a $20 million settlement.
