Angelina Jolie And Brad Pitt Settle Divorce After Eight Years

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt have officially concluded their long-standing divorce proceedings, ending an intense legal battle spanning eight years. The final documents were signed December 30. This served as a landmark for the former Hollywood power couple. Jolie’s attorney, James Simon, told that she felt relieved, “Angelina is understandably exhausted. Over eight years ago, she filed for divorce and left their shared properties to prioritize peace and healing for her family.”

There seems to be no settlement reached over the Chateau Miraval vineyard in France, despite the couple divorcing. Brad Pitt has sued his ex-wife for allegedly selling her stake in the French vineyard to the Stoli Group without his approval. The two parties reportedly consider mediation, but they haven’t ruled out a jury trial. According to one close to Jolie, there have been attempts on Jolie’s part to find ways to stay resilient at this difficult time; apparently, she is keeping more attention on growth and healing rather than public fighting.

The source further stated that Jolie’s six children, Maddox, Pax, Zahara, Shiloh, Vivienne, and Knox, have seen her approach to advocacy, which focuses on legal changes rather than personal revelations. The children are said to have encouraged her to stand up for herself, but she is still committed to a broader vision of justice and change.

Jolie had filed for divorce in September 2016, two years after marrying Pitt and a decade after they started dating. Allegations of an incident on a private plane days before the filing further complicated the case. Though Jolie and Pitt were declared legally single in 2019, Pitt has been seen with jewellery designer Ines de Ramon for nearly two years.
