But the showstopper was her cape. Draping dramatically behind her, the shawl-inspired cape was handwoven in Varanasi with brocade and tradition. On its back was the Sanskrit shloka from the Bhagavad Gita:
“कर्मण्येवाधिकारस्ते मा फलेषु कदाचन। मा कर्मफलहेतुर्भूर्मा ते सङ्गोऽस्त्वकर्मणि।”
The meaning of the Shloka is that “You have a right to perform your actions, but not to the fruits of those actions.” It redefined her style from sheer fashion to a declaration of purpose—blending duty, detachment, and grace in one instant moment.
