When asked who should be reading Hindutva: Origin, Evolution, and Future, Aravindan Neelakandan mentioned, “Everyone who believes in Hindutva and even those who don›t.” He said that for people who want to write their own book criticising Hindutva, this book, ironically, will give them all the information that they need. Divided into many chapters, his work brings to light what Hindutva actually is, what it stands for and shatters many misconceptions surrounding this ideology.

Hindutva: Origin, Evolution, and Future, authored by Aravindan Neelakandan and published by BluOne Ink, was launched on 2 December 2022 at the Constitution Club of India, New Delhi, among about 150 people.

The launch event was preceded by a distinguished panel consisting of Sri K Annamalai (Ex-IPS and President, Tamil Nadu BJP, and author), Sri Tejasvi Surya (Member of Parliament, Bengaluru South, and President, Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM)), Sri Abhinav Prakash (National Vice President, Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM)), Sri Makarand Paranjape (Professor at JNU, Former Director, IIAS, Shimla, and Author), and Sri Aravindan Neelakandan, the author.

Talking about his inspiration behind writing Hindutva, Sri Aravindan Neelakandan said that the idea of this book had been on his mind since his teenage years. He had felt that Hindutva had often been wrongly presented. This book is research-driven, with plenty of references to give an accurate view of the idea. The author mentioned Savarkar, the Father of Hindutva, who said that Hindu dharma is a subset of Hindutva. He also stressed another intriguing quote by Savarkar, where he mentioned that ‘a Hindu ceases to be a Hindu at the height of his Hinduness.’

Aravindan further revealed an interesting fact about how Tagore was linked to Hindutva, saying that Tagore had used the word Hindutva many years before Savarkar, which is also ingrained in the civilisational process of India.

BluOne Ink’s Editor-in-Chief, Mr. Partho, praised the expansive and ground-breaking work and expressed their gratitude toward the author.

The book is available for pre-order in bookstores across the country and on BluOne’s website.
