The Congress high command has made up its mind to take action against Sachin Pilot, hinted Rajasthan in-charge Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa during interaction here with reporters.
“Despite strict orders of the high command, Sachin Pilot protested and under such circumstances, action must be taken”, said the state in-charge.
There are indications that he may be given a show-cause notice first, though the party wants him to leave the party on his own. But it is clear from the versions of Pilot that he would like to be sacked from the party to garner sympathy in his favour.
Accusing Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot of not taking action against corrupt people, Pilot had staged a one-day sit-in in Jaipur on Tuesday. While Randhawa had issued a letter making it clear that if he (Sachin) staged a sit-in, it would be considered as an anti-party activity. There is resentment in the entire party due to Pilot’s decision to protest. His decision is being seen as an attempt to topple the government three years ago.
Pilot was the first leader of the country who, while holding the posts of Deputy Chief Minister and State President, tried to topple his own elected government, which was discussed and surprised the entire country.
Even after this, instead of taking action against him, the party took him back. After this, in last year September, he once again conspired and tried to topple the government by misleading the high command, which was not allowed to succeed at once by Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot. And now, when the elections are around the corner, the decisions of the government are being discussed all over the country, which is why Pilot tried to spoil the whole atmosphere by attacking his government. It has also affected the Karnataka elections. Later, Randhawa submitted his detailed report to party president Mallikarjun Kharge on Wednesday. After tomorrow’s decision, there is every possibility that action will be taken action against him.
