The makers of the upcoming web series ‘Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar,’ featuring Sonakshi Sinha, Richa Chadha, Aditi Rao Hydari, Manisha Koirala, Sharmin Segal, and Sanjeeda Shaikh, are preparing to release its first track, ‘Sakal Ban,’ at the global stage of Miss World. This song will also be the inaugural track from Bhansali’s new music label, Bhansali Music. The traditional song ‘Sakal Ban’ will showcase all the leading ladies of ‘Heeramandi.’

According to a source, “‘Sakal Ban,’ the first song from ‘Bhansali Music’ and also the debut song of Bhansali’s ‘Heeramandi,’ will premiere on the prestigious platform of ‘Miss World.’ This marks the first time a song will have a global stage launch at ‘Miss World.'”

Sanjay Leela Bhansali, known for his blockbuster films like ‘Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam,’ ‘Black,’ ‘Ram-Leela,’ ‘Bajirao Mastani,’ ‘Padmaavat,’ ‘Devdas,’ ‘Saawariya,’ and ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi,’ recently ventured into the music world by launching his own music label, Bhansali Music.

Bhansali expressed his excitement on Instagram, stating, “Music brings me great joy and peace. It’s an integral part of my being. I am now launching my own music label ‘Bhansali Music.’ I wish the audience to experience the same joy and spiritual connect that I feel when I listen to or create music.”

Through Bhansali Music, the filmmaker aims to showcase his creative talent in music, collaborating with skilled musicians and artists to produce captivating compositions for his films and memorable independent albums.

Bhansali’s films have always been praised for their mesmerizing music, with songs like ‘Deewani Mastani’ and ‘Lal Ishq’ resonating deeply with audiences. ‘Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar’ is set to stream on Netflix and marks Bhansali’s debut in the OTT space. The series is set in Heeramandi, Lahore (now part of Pakistan), amidst power struggles and anti-colonial freedom movements in undivided, pre-independence India.

In a historic moment, the Miss World finale returns to India after 28 years, with the event taking place at the Jio World Convention Centre in Mumbai on March 9. Indian viewers can watch the finale live on Sony LIV.
