The weather has changed its mood in Delhi-NCR and rain lashed several parts of New Delhi on Tuesday, bringing some relief from the hot and humid weather conditions.

Due to rain, the temperature has dropped and Delhi’s weather has become pleasant in many parts of Delhi-NCR on Tuesday morning and people have got relief from the humidity and heat.

Amidst the downpour, the streets of the national capital led to waterlogging and traffic snarls.

Meanwhile, the Meteorological Department (IMD) had predicted rain in Delhi and its adjoining areas today and it started raining around 8.30 am.

Moreover, due to rain the Delhi police has advised the commuters to plan accordingly. Taking to Twitter, Delhi Traffic Police tweeted, “Traffic Alert As per IMD report, a Thunderstorm with light to moderate intensity rain would occur over and adjoining areas of entire Delhi. Commuters are advised to plan their journey accordingly.”

Earlier, the Meteorological Department had said that from July 6, rain would start in Delhi-NCR, but every day the forecast of rain proved to be wrong.

However, the Meteorological Department had predicted light to moderate rain in many areas of Delhi, Noida, Ghaziabad, Indirapuram, Gurugram, Manesar, Rewari, Kosli, Shamli, Jhajjar and Charkhi Dadri. The department had also issued an alert for rain accompanied by thunder.
