The Haryana Rural Roads Development Agency, a division of the Haryana Public Works Department, observed the 35th National Road Safety Week 2024 with the theme «Be a Road Safety Hero» from January 11th to 17th, 2024. The event took place at the PWD Rest House in Panchkula.

The program featured various seminars aimed at bringing together experts, professionals, and stakeholders to discuss and exchange insights on «Road Safety Solutions.» It included interactive sessions, workshops, and Q&A panels, allowing attendees to actively participate and gain a deeper understanding of the subject matter.

A diverse audience attended the seminar, including engineers from PWD/HSAMB/Chandigarh Administration, contractors, and representatives of NGOs. The Chief Guest of the function was Sh. Amit Shukla, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Rural Development, Government of India, and Director General of the National Rural Infrastructure Development Agency, who addressed the gathering through video conferencing. Shukla emphasized the importance of creating safe roads.

At the conclusion of the event, all delegates took a road safety oath, committing themselves to remain vigilant toward road safety aspects.
