Hockey Haryana, Hockey Uttarakhand, Hockey Punjab, Hockey Karnataka, Hockey Unit of Tamil Nadu, Kerala Hockey, Hockey Madhya Pradesh, Hockey Bengal, Hockey Association of Odisha, and Hockey Mizoram all won on Day 5 of the 1st Hockey India Junior Women Zonal Championships 2023.

Hockey Haryana defeated Uttar Pradesh Hockey 2-1 in the first game of the day at the ongoing 1st Hockey India Junior Women North Zone Championships 2023 in Jhansi, Uttar Pradesh. Manisha Patel (25′) scored the only goal for Uttar Pradesh Hockey, while Ritika (18′, 59′) scored twice for Hockey Haryana.

Hockey Uttarakhand defeated Hockey Chandigarh 3-1 in the second match of the day. Hockey Uttarakhand’s Amandeep Kour (1′), Prachi (51′), and Minakshi (52′) each scored one goal, while Hockey Chandigarh’s Tamanna (11′) scored the only goal.

Hockey Punjab defeated Delhi Hockey 4-1 in the third game of the day. Sweena Rani (29′, 54′) had two goals, while Lakhvir Kaur (18′) and Sukhjeet Kaur (40′) each had one.

In the first match of the first Hockey India Junior Women South Zone Championships 2023, held in Ramanathpuram, Tamil Nadu, Hockey Karnataka defeated Hockey Andhra Pradesh 4-3. Captain Yamuna (18′, 32′) scored twice for Hockey Karnataka, while Deepika R (16′) and Sowmya HV (57′) each scored once. Hockey Andhra Pradesh’s goals came from Dokku Himaja (46′), Patan Mujiya Begum (48′), and Tanniru Sai Sreevani (51′).

The Hockey Unit of Tamil Nadu defeated Le Puducherry Hockey 17-0 in the second game. Priya Dharsini K scored six goals for the Hockey Unit of Tamil Nadu (9′, 11′, 12′, 14′, 25′, 49′), while Skipper Gobika M added four (13′, 40′, 51′, 58′). Sowmiya (55′, 56′, 60′) scored a hat-trick, and Abirami A (46′, 47′) contributed a brace to the victory. Nandhini Priya (23′) and Sangamithra M (44′) each scored once.
