The issue of imposing a ban on diesel vehicles and petrol vehicles older than 10 and 15 years respectively plying in the National Capital Region (NCR) continues to surface, particularly about the tractors. In this series, while interacting with media persons after the end of the second day of the ongoing assembly session, the Chief Minister of Haryana, Manohar Lal opined that tractors should not be included in this criteria. Further, he said that “Talks will be held with the Central Government and some way would be found to resolve this issue. Last time also we had got tractors excluded from the NGT Policy.”

During the ongoing 14th assembly of Haryana, the ruling and opposite factions were eyeball to eyeball over a string of issues.

According to the information provided by the speaker Gyan Chand Gupta, as many as 70 calling attention motions have been brought in the assembly session, and out of these, 24 are under consideration. In this series, he further informed that 6 motions are for the government for reaction. Apart from the above-mentioned, a total of five adjustment motions also have been received. Besides, two private bills were received for consideration and both were approved for the same.

Balraj Kundu raised the issue of not giving compensation for the harm to crops due to hailstorms to farmers. While reacting to this, the Deputy Chief Minister, Dushyant Chautala said that the government has made proper arrangements for the same. In a reaction to this, Manohar Lal, the Chief Minister of Haryana said that periodical crop inspection is going on.

Congress legislator, Subhash Gangoli raised the issue of irregularities and a scam of 35 crore in Safidon Municipal Committee. In a reaction to this, Dr. Kamal Gupta, who holds the portfolio of the the Urban Local Body Ministry ensured him to take stern action against the responsible officials as well as employees.
