Haryana has initiated an online health facility named ‘Stay Home OPD’ to provide uninterrupted health services during the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic. The state’s Home and Health Minister, Anil Vij, said that the facility has been started under the name of ‘e-Sanjeevani OPD’ and with this, people suffering from various health ailments can get free online medical consultation. Vij also said that due to the difficult circumstances arising due to Covid-19 pandemic, numerous people suffering from other ailments were facing issues. To combat this problem, the central government launched an ‘e-Sanjeevani OPD’ and around 1,000 patients till now have benefited from it. This facility is being provided free of cost to all patients of the state. For this, patients will have to download the ‘e-Sanjeevani OPD’ app in their mobile, after which a token number will be generated. The minister said that the government is committed to provide medical facilities to every patient at their doorsteps and for this, any patient can get online consultation by connecting with the concerned doctor using laptop, desktop or Android smartphone while staying at home. On this online platform, a patient can up- load all his reports and get information about the disease and the required line of treatment from the doctor. After this, the doctor will also give an online prescription to his patient, which will be valid for all other health facilities in Haryana for medical treatment. He said that this facility will be available for patients from 10am to 1am and from 3pm to 5pm from Monday to Saturday. A qualified team of physicians and psychologists are working on this.
