A suitcase with a woman’s body parts has been found in a suitcase in the forest area of Haryana’s Faridabad on Thursday afternoon. The police is suspecting them to be of Shraddha Walker, who was murdered by her live-in-partner Aftab Amin Poonawala in Chattarpur, Delhi.

Following the discovery of the bag containing the body parts in the Surajkund forest region, the Faridabad Police called the Delhi Police. The remains were discovered near the luggage, wrapped in a plastic bag and a sack, along with some clothing and a belt, according to authorities.

According to a statement from the Faridabad Police, it appeared at first glance that a person had been killed somewhere else and that a portion of the body had been put here to evade identification.

A team of Mehrauli police from South Delhi, who are looking into the horrifying Shraddha murder case, also arrived at the scene and joined the inquiry as a result of the information being provided by Faridabad police with Delhi police.

The body parts found seems to be months old and its difficult to figure out whether it was a man or woman, said sources.

The body parts are sent for postmortem examination and things will become clear once the postmortem report is received.

“Faridabad police officials have also said that they will keep samples aside, in case Delhi police would want to go for a DNA test,” official sources said.

The Faridabad Police contacted the Delhi Police after finding the bag carrying the body pieces in the Surajkund forest area. In addition to some clothing and a belt, the remains were also found wrapped in plastic bags and sacks close to the luggage, according to the officials.

The Faridabad Police stated that at first inspection, it appeared as though a person had been slain elsewhere and that a chunk of the body had been moved here to elude identification.

Due to the information shared by Faridabad police with Delhi police, a team of Mehrauli police from South Delhi—who are investigating into the horrific Shraddha murder case—also arrived and started the investigation.
