Haryana Vidhan Sabha Speaker, Gian Chand Gupta, flagged off a special bus service from Panchkula to Ayodhya to facilitate the people of Panchkula in performing darshan at the Ayodhya Ram Mandir. Initially, one bus has been started, and more buses could be pressed into service based on the number of devotees, he added.

Gupta formally flagged off the bus amid the chanting of mantras at Haryana Roadways Bus Depot and Workshop in Industrial Area Phase-2, Panchkula. He boarded the bus along with the devotees and reached Panchkula Sector-5 bus stand.

The bus will travel to Ayodhya via Delhi, Mathura, Agra, and Lucknow, covering a distance of 959 kilometers. Addressing the gathering after flagging off the bus, Gupta expressed his desire to visit Ayodhyadham for Ram darshan. He highlighted that initially, the facility of darshan of Ram Lala has been made available to the general public. The bus will ply three days a week, on Friday, Monday, and Wednesday, departing at 10:30 am from bus stand Sector-5 and reaching Ayodhya at 5 am the next day. After the devotees perform Ram darshan, the bus will start its return journey to Panchkula at 2 pm. Devotees going to Ayodhya will pay a nominal fare of Rs. 1269 per person for one side. Sh. Gupta thanked Chief Minister Manohar Lal and Transport Minister Sh. Mool Chand Sharma for starting this bus service, considering the religious sentiment of the people.

The Vidhan Sabha Speaker emphasized that the Pran Pratishtha of Lord Rama has taken place at Ayodhya after a wait of about 500 years. This is a matter of pride for about 140 crore people of the country, he said, adding that we are fortunate to have witnessed this occasion in our lifetime.

The construction of the Ram temple has changed the fate and picture of Ayodhya and has given a major boost to tourism. After the consecration of Lord Rama on January 22, about 27 lakh people have performed darshan of Lord Ram in the last ten days.
