Haryana is witnessing an increase in Covid-19 cases from six to seven folds after reporting a speedy control over the pandemic. As compared to last month, the Covid cases are increasing at a rapid rate in the month of March. Whereas nearly 100-150 new patients were being reported last month, the deadly virus seems to be getting out of control again. In wake of this, the state health department is on toes to tackle the situation. Besides, the state government continues to mull over every possible strategy so that fatal disease can be controlled. If we look at the statistics of the last ten days, around 600-700 on an average new cases comes to surfaces every day at present which is an alarming situation. The state government has come up with a strategy to strengthen the vaccination drive.
‘Increasing cases continue to add woes of the state and in view of this, we need to focus on all precautions to be taken into consideration’, said the Chief Minister Manohar Lal. In order to tackle the disease, the concerned department and officials have been directed to deal with Covid.
In continuation of the same, the Chief Secretary of Haryana Vijay Vardhan and Amit Agarwal, Additional Personal Secretary to CM are tested positive. Before this, the Chief Principal Secretary D.S Dhesi and CID chief Alok Mittal were reported corona positive. Besides Political Secretary of the Chief Minister is also under observation after he was confirmed corona positive.
It is pertinent to mention that there were below 500 active cases of corona in last month but the number has gone now to nearly 6000 which is a matter of serious concern. Thus, the increase has gone to 10 to 12 times higher. It led to a spurt in the problems of government. Besides, the death toll is increasing day by day along with patients on ventilator and oxygen. Earlier, there were just 30 patients on ventilator and oxygen support and the number was 85 on March 21, 2021 which is about three times higher. Keeping in view the increasing trend of Corona, efforts are being made to fasten the vaccination and 908001 doses of the vaccine have been administered among the people so far.
