Haryana continues to witness a huge spike in the death toll due to Covid-19, as recent data showed that more than 50 deaths and around 10000 new cases were reported in the last ten days.

In the wake of the ongoing scenario, the government has demanded to increase the oxygen quota of Haryana which has been extended to 200 MT after the Centre took cognizance of the issue.

“We need to focus on a strategy so that patients can be saved and the government is committed to make every possible effort to control the disease” said Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar. Besides, the state owns sufficient oxygen along with life-saving medicines and other medical equipment, he added.

5308 patients who recovered from Covid-19 have also donated plasma for the treatment of others and as many as 3568 have been given plasma therapy.

The state government has issued three helpline numbers – 1075 and 108 for ambulances and 85588-93011 for other information pertaining to the disease. Apart from this, the district drug officials have been given the responsibility to take care of oxygen stocks.

Besides, the state has decided that willing Hajjis would be given the vaccine in 2021.
