The Congress party has become active regarding the Lok Sabha and Assembly elections to be held in Haryana in 2024. Other prominent figures, including senior party leader and former CM Bhupendra Singh Hooda, will be seen in the field in the next 2 months. For this, the Haryana Congress Committee has prepared a revised schedule for the rallies.
Some new programmes have been prepared according to the leaders. The committee’s chairman, Ashok Arora, has said that the next public rally on behalf of the party will be held in Israna on December 3. After this, a rally will be held in Jhajjar on the 17th. Kisan Mazdoor Jan Aakash rally has been scheduled in Sirsa on December 24.
The next stops for the rally will be in Safidon on the 25th, Hodal on December 31, and Ladwa on January 7. In these rallies, former CM and Leader of the Opposition Bhupendra Singh Hooda, State President Chaudhary Udayabhan, Rajya Sabha MP Dipendra Hooda, and many senior and local leaders will be present in these programmes.
Ashok Arora mentioned that the Congress has conducted significant public meetings in 9 Lok Sabha constituencies, positioning itself prominently against the opposition. The party has organised ‘Jan Milan functions’ in 5 districts. Through the ‘Haath Se Haath Jodo’ campaign, the Congress has extended its reach to the village, neighbourhood, and booth levels. Currently, the party is hosting public outrage rallies in all 90 assembly constituencies. Party leaders and workers are actively bringing Congress policies to the people through various programmes, reaching households effectively.
The committee chairman criticised the BJP, stating that the BJP-JJP alliance lacks a response to the public welfare policies of the Congress. Every class is grappling with the consequences of JJP and BJP policies, leading to significant public discontent against the coalition government. This dissatisfaction is the driving force behind the Congress party’s determination to overthrow the ruling coalition through these rallies.
