Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal on Thursday urged the patients who have recovered from Covid-19 to come forward and motivate people suffering from this infection to put up a tough fight against this pandemic. “All such survivors should encourage people to not fear this pandemic and rather ensure them proper precautions are being taken for it,” the CM said.
He also appealed to the cured Covid-19 patients to donate their plasma.
The CM urged this while chairing a meeting of the Crisis Management Group (CMG), regarding Covid-19 status in Haryana, with the officers of various departments.
CM Khattar was apprised that free Covid-19 test facility has been made available in all civil hospitals of the state.
People should visit these hospitals for testing. It was also informed that for Covid-19 sample collection toll-free numbers — 108 and 1075 — have been started and a mobile van will be sent for the same.
It was further told that SMSs are being sent to the cured Covid-19 patients so that they can come forward for plasma donation.
So far, as many as 338 people have given their consent to donate. The CM said that separate letters should also be sent to such people.
In the meeting, CM Khattar was told that as part of Unlock-3, a special campaign is being run motivating people to wear masks. Information with regards to wearing masks and adhering to social distancing norms is being advertised on the vehicles of the Urban Local Bodies Department.
Besides this, awareness for the same can also be seen at over 900 hoardings at various traffic intersections.
Rajeev Arora, Addl. Chief Secretary, Department of Health & Family Welfare, informed the CM that the number of Covidpositive patients in districts, except Gurugram, Faridabad, Sonipat and Rewari, is under control.
Arora informed that under ‘Operation Vande Bharat’, as per the new guidelines issued by the Union Home Ministry for Unlock-3, people returning from abroad are no longer required to remain in institutional quarantine for seven days.
If a person returning from abroad gives a medical certificate 48 hours before his/her trip confirming of being Covidnegative, then that person will not need to be in quarantine, though it will be mandatory for him/ her to stay in the home quarantine for 96 hours, he said.
