Vikas Bharat Sankalp Yatra received a grand welcome upon reaching Masumpur village. Deepak Sharma, Karnal in-charge and former district president, participated as the chief guest, presenting certificates and gas connections to beneficiaries of old-age pensions in the village. Additionally, individuals who excelled in development work under the Jal Jeevan Mission and Panchayati Raj institutions were honored.
Deepak Sharma mentioned that over 86 programs have been organized through the Vikas Bharat Sankalp Yatra. These programs focus on motivating cattle rearers to insure their animals and encouraging farmers to adopt the latest agricultural practices. Sharma urged cattle farmers to take advantage of the government’s Livestock Insurance Scheme, which offers insurance for buffaloes ranging from Rs 100 to Rs 300.
Furthermore, the Women and Child Development Department is providing Rs 5,000 checks to pregnant women and newborns, promoting the adoption of the latest agricultural technology, livelihood mission, and supporting the birth of the first girl child. Information about applying for loans for self-employment is also being disseminated, with a push to encourage women’s participation in self-help groups for self-reliance.
Health and Ayurvedic camps in villages are providing health benefits to the people, creating an atmosphere of happiness and enabling residents to make full use of government services and public welfare schemes. Sharma demonstrated drones to farmers, explaining their benefits.
Upon arrival in the village, Sarpanch Subhash extended a warm welcome to the Yatra and inspected the set-up stalls. In the evening, Sarpanch Naseem of Sultanpur village also welcomed the Yatra with grand festivities.
