Haryana Deputy Chief Minister Dushyant Chautala said that the state government is working on an ambitious scheme, in which the State youth, who are undergoing pilot training, will have to pay only half of the training cost or the course fee. “Under this scheme, the government will bear half of the fees. For this, talks are going on with various civil aviation companies. Two rounds of talks have also taken place at the state level. The state government aims to provide ample employment in this field by imparting training to the maximum number of pilots in the state,” said Dushyant Chautala while interacting with the media persons after holding an important meeting with the officers concerned at Chaudhary Bansi Lal Airstrip in Bhiwani on Monday.
The Deputy Chief Minister said that during the last three years, the present state government has worked to establish civil aviation as a industry on a priority. About 350 youths are taking training in private and government Flying Training Organizations (FTOs) in the state. Of this, around 120 are being trained by the Flight Simulation Technique Centre (FSTC) and the rest by the Haryana Institute of Civil Aviation (HICA). The airstrips of Karnal, Pinjore and Bhiwani, Mahendragarh and Bachhod are being developed by the government. Dushyant Chautala further informed that for the smooth travelling of around 20 to 21 lakh passengers who are expected to travel from Hisar airport in a year, the state government has finalized a design. For this, the tender process will be started as soon as the DPR comes. At present, two planes can land simultaneously at Hisar airport, shared Dushyant Chautala.
He informed that the expansion of the Bhiwani airstrip is being done. In this, work will be done to widen the runway, make taxi tracks, increase facilities for youth taking pilot training, and establish a terminal, fire station etc. at the earliest. Additional hangers would be made here, shared the Deputy Chief Minister. Dushyant Chautala informed that it is the endeavour of the government to provide maximum financial assistance to the youth and women of Haryana for pilot training, for which discussions have been held with the Civil Aviation Company.
During this, the Deputy Chief Minister also inspected the work of expansion of the airstrip. He held a meeting with the officials of the Power and Public Works Department and reviewed the expansion work of the airstrip. He said that the solar lights should be installed on the airstrip and directed the officers concerned to prepare an estimate for cleaning the airstrip. During this, Dushyant Chautala also interacted with the youth who are undergoing training here. He also inquired about the facilities being provided here.
