The Maharashtra government has given green signal to Bollywood and the television industry to resume shooting with some safety guidelines. The nationwide lockdown restricted the shootings of many TV shows and films, making the entertainment industry face huge financial losses.
As the permission has been given for shootings to restart, some TV shows have already resumed their work. The Rashmi Sharma production has begun shooting its two shows, Luka Chuppi and Shakti. According to media reports, the shooting of Shakti, which is aired on Colors channel, has begun, with conditions applied. Even, the make-up artist is wearing a PPE kit while working on the set. The shooting spot is being sanitised regularly as all the crew members are instructed to wear masks.
However, there are some production houses that are yet to take a decision on starting their shows. TV serials like Kumkum Bhagya, Kundali Bhagya, Qurbaan Hua and Tujhse Hai Raabta were reportedly going to start the shooting, but due to some terms and conditions given by the Cine and TV Artists Association (CINTAA), which are yet to be sorted, they have not started their work. According to reports, the condition of 8-hour shift daily for the artists and crew members isn’t convincing for many production houses.
With following government guidelines, Star Plus shows like Yeh Jaadu Hai Jinn ka, Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai and Yeh Rishtey Hain Pyaar Ke will resume their shoots from mid-July.
It’s expected that shooting will soon gear up, and once again the cameras will roll to record the colorful world of the nation’s film industry like before.
