Thailand’s Opal Suchata Chuangsri Wins Miss World 2025 in Hyderabad

Opal Suchata Chuangsri of Thailand was crowned Miss World 2025 in Hyderabad, with Ethiopia's Hasset Dereje Admassu as the first runner-up.

Thailand’s Opal Suchata Chuangsri Wins Miss World 2025 in Hyderabad

Opal Suchata Chuangsri from Thailand won the Miss World title on Saturday in India. She triumphed over 108 contestants in the 72nd Miss World pageant, held in Hyderabad.

Hasset Dereje Admassu from Ethiopia secured the position of first runner-up in the competition. Chuangsri received her crown from last year’s winner, Krystyna Pyszková.

Event Hosts and Previous Hosting

The pageant was hosted by Miss World 2016, Stephanie del Valle, and Indian presenter Sachiin Kumbhar. India also hosted the event last year.

India’s Nandini Gupta made it to the final 20 but did not progress further.

India’s Success in Miss World

India has produced six Miss World winners: Reita Faria (1966), Aishwarya Rai (1994), Diana Hayden (1997), Yukta Mookhey (1999), Priyanka Chopra (2000), and Manushi Chhillar (2017).
