Karan Johar, known for his love of romantic films, has once again backed a heartwarming love story. This time, he is supporting Loveyapa, a romantic comedy directed by Advait Chandan. The film, starring Junaid Khan and Khushi Kapoor, is set to release soon.

Karan Johar’s Excitement

On Monday, Karan took to Instagram and shared a poster of Loveyapa. The image featured Junaid and Khushi making Korean heart symbols while wearing shiny grey jackets. Expressing his excitement, he wrote:

“Drum roll for 2025’s first love story success story… #Loveyapa talks to the Tech and App obsessed Gen Z with a love story that is hugely entertaining and makes solid points with brevity and precision … it’s what you genuinely call a great time at the movies!!!! You will fall in love with all the characters (terrific ensemble) and root for the magical and endearing leads #junaidkhan and @khushikapoor.”

Moreover, he praised the film’s engaging storytelling and lively pace. “I can happily watch the film again and top credit to director @advaitchandan for bringing pace, relentless energy, humour, emotion and solid storytelling to the fore!!! Congratulations to Madhu Mantena, Shrishti Behl, and the entire cast and crew of the best popcorn ride I have had at the movies in a while!”

Shortly after, Khushi Kapoor reshared Karan’s post on her Instagram Stories, adding two white heart emojis and a teary-eyed emoji.

About Loveyapa

Meanwhile, Loveyapa is produced by Madhu Mantena and Srishti Behl under Phantom Films. Notably, this film marks the big-screen debut of Junaid Khan, son of Aamir Khan, and Khushi Kapoor, daughter of the late Sridevi. Previously, Junaid made his acting debut in Maharaj (2024), while Khushi appeared in The Archies (2023).

The film follows a young couple forced to swap their phones due to the girl’s father’s demand. Additionally, it features Ashutosh Rana and Kiku Sharda in pivotal roles. Loveyapa will hit cinemas on February 7.

Looking ahead, Khushi will also star in Nadaaniyan alongside Ibrahim Khan. Produced by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions and directed by Shauna Gautam, the film will stream on Netflix India later this year.
