Several Bollywood stars, including Shraddha Kapoor and Nora Fatehi, have been mentioned in an investigation connected to drug parties allegedly organised by people linked to underworld gangster Dawood Ibrahim. The development comes after the Mumbai Police Anti-Narcotics Cell uncovered a major drug network reportedly operated by wanted trafficker Salim Dola, a close aide of Dawood.
Syndicate Operated from Dubai, Reveals Key Accused
According to India Today, Salim Dola managed the drug syndicate from Dubai. His son, Taher Dola, who was extradited from the UAE in August, has shared crucial information with investigators.
Documents accessed by the outlet state that Taher has alleged that actors, models, rappers, filmmakers, and even Dawood Ibrahim’s relatives attended drug parties he arranged in India and overseas.
Among the names listed, Nora Fatehi, Shraddha Kapoor, and her brother Siddharth Kapoor have been accused of being present at these gatherings.
What the Remand Copy Claims
Reportedly the remand note mentions that Taher Dola was actively involved in organising and supplying drugs at these events.
The document states, “Further investigation into the said accused No. 05 has revealed that he is organising drug parties in the country and abroad and supplying drugs to those parties."
It adds, “The said accused has previously organised drug parties in the country and abroad with Alisha Parkar, Nora Fatehi, Shraddha Kapoor and her brother Siddharth Kapoor, Zishan Siddiqui, Ori alias Orhan, Abbas Mastaan, Loka and many other people and has himself joined in them and is supplying drugs to these and other people."
Crime Branch Likely to Summon Celebrities
Reports suggest that the Mumbai Crime Branch will soon question the actors and public figures named in the case. Their statements will be recorded as part of the ongoing investigation.
So far, neither Shraddha Kapoor, Nora Fatehi, nor their teams have issued any response. More updates are awaited from the authorities.
A Curious Link to Shraddha’s Film Role
In an interesting coincidence, Shraddha Kapoor portrayed Haseena Parkar Dawood Ibrahim’s younger sister in the 2017 film directed by Apoorva Lakhia. Her real-life brother Siddharth Kapoor played the role of Dawood in the same movie.
