Bollywood actress Disha Patani’s Bareilly home came under fire on Friday when unidentified men shot outside her residence. The shocking incident has been linked to comments made against spiritual leaders, with gangster groups taking responsibility.

Shots Fired at Civil Lines Residence

The incident took place outside Disha Patani’s villa (No. 40, Civil Lines, Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh). According to a report by News 24 Online, several shots were fired, but no injuries were reported.

Soon after, gangster groups led by Goldy Brar and Rohit Godara claimed responsibility through a Facebook post.

Gangsters Release Threat Note

The post, allegedly written by gang members Virendra Charan and Mahendra Saran, claimed the firing was carried out in reaction to disrespect shown toward saints.

The note read, “Brothers, today the firing that took place at Khushboo Patna / Disha Patna (Bollywood actress)’s house (villa number 40, Civil Lines Bareilly, U.P.), we had this carried out. She had insulted our revered saints (Premanand Ji Maharaj and Aniruddhacharya Ji Maharaj). She tried to demean our Sanatan Dharma.”

The post further warned, “The insult of our worshipped deities will not be tolerated. This was just a trailer. If next time again she or someone else shows any obscenity toward our religion, we will not leave anyone alive from their house.”

The gang also threatened other Bollywood artists, warning them not to insult religion or saints.

Link to Khushboo Patani’s Comments

The controversy appears to have roots in earlier remarks made by Khushboo Patani, Disha’s sister, against spiritual leader Aniruddhacharya.

Khushboo had criticized him for suggesting that unmarried women over 25 who live in relationships were promiscuous.

She had said, “He says girls who are above the age of 25 and stay in live-in relationships, woh 4 jagah mooh maar ke aati hai (they go from one person to another). If only he were around me, I would have made him understand the meaning of the words he has used against women. They are anti-national.”

Khushboo later clarified that her comments were specifically directed at Aniruddhacharya Ji Maharaj. However, videos circulated online wrongly claimed she had spoken against Premanand Ji Maharaj.

Disha Patani Yet to Respond

As of now, neither Disha Patani nor her sister Khushboo has released an official statement on the incident. Police have not confirmed arrests, but the incident has raised serious concerns about celebrity safety in Bareilly and beyond.

Authorities are expected to tighten security around Disha Patani’s residence while investigating the gang’s claims.
