Chief Minister Gehlot’s OSD Lokesh Sharma on Wednesday did not appear before the Crime Branch of Delhi Police for interrogation in connection with a phone tapping case, officials said. Sharma, who was questioned on Tuesday in the case, was called again on Wednesday.
On Monday, Sharma received a notice from the Crime Branch, shortly after the election code of conduct came into force in Rajasthan. According to an official, Lokesh Sharma sent a request to the Crime Branch for not appearing on Wednesday. However, he will be called again soon. The Delhi Police registered an FIR on 25 March 2021 against Sharma on charges of criminal conspiracy, criminal breach of trust, and unlawfully intercepting telephonic conversation based on a complaint by Union Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat.
