Gautam Adani, Adani Group’s Chairman, has recently praised 18-year-old chess grandmaster Rameshbabu Praggnanandhaa for defeating world champions Magnus Carlson and Fabiano Caruana, calling him incredible on Sunday.

Taking to X, Gautam Adani wrote ‘Incredible Praggnanandhaa!’.

Further praising the chess player, Adani also wrote “Beating both World no. 1 Magnus Carlsen and no. 2 Fabiano Caruana in classical chess at #NorwayChess is mindblowing. You’re on a roll and still just 18! Keep the tricolour flying high. All the very best.”

Meanwhile in 2024 Norway chess tournament, the Indian chess prodigy has recently defeated both five-time world champion magnus Carlson and world no.2 Fabiano Caruana in classical chess in round 3 and round 5 respectively.

By defeating two world champions, it has propelled the teen into the spotlight, securing a place among the top 10 in the International Chess Federation’s world rankings.

Later, taking to X, Norway official Chess handle posted, “PRAGG IS BACK Young prodigy Praggnanandhaa stuns the chess world again by defeating World no. 2 Fabiano Caruana in Round 5!”

Also, Pragananadhaa’s sister Vaishali also gave an exceptional performance by beating the legendary Pia Cramling. Thus, extending the lead of total 8.5 points.
