The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee will soon open the registration process for the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2025. Applications will be accepted through the official website, gate2025.iitr.ac.in, starting August 24. The deadline to register without a late fee is September 26, and with a late fee is October 7. The GATE 2025 exam will take place from February 1 to 16, 2025.

According to the official website, “Candidates who are currently studying in the 3rd or higher years of any undergraduate degree program or who have completed any government-approved degree program in which, Engineering/Technology/Architecture/Science/Commerce/Arts/Humanities are eligible to appear for GATE 2025.”

Steps to Register for GATE 2025:

1. Visit the official website at gate2025.iitr.ac.in.

2. Click on the GATE 2025 registration link on the homepage.

3. You will be directed to a new page where you need to enter your details.

4. Complete the information and create a User ID and Password.

5. Log in to your account.

6. Fill out the GATE 2025 Registration Form and upload all required documents.

7. Pay the application fee and click on Submit.

8. Download the page and print it for future reference.

Documents Required:

– Passport Size Photographs

– Candidate’s Signature

– Category Certificate (if applicable)

– Certificate of Dyslexia (if applicable)

– Valid ID proof

– PwD certificate (if applicable)

The Photo ID must include the candidate’s name, date of birth, and a unique ID number. Candidates should bring this ID to the exam.

Application Fee:

– For Females/SC/ST and PwD candidates: Rs 900

– For other candidates, including foreign nationals: Rs 1,800

– Late fee for Females/SC/ST and PwD candidates: Rs 1,400

– Late fee for other applicants: Rs 2,300

GATE is a national-level exam conducted annually for admission to postgraduate programs in engineering, technology, and architecture. It is jointly administered by the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) and seven Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs).
