A key member of the Rohit Godara gang, Amarjeet Bishnoi, was apprehended in Italy after being tracked down by the Special Task Force of Rajasthan Police. He had been hiding in a small fishing village called Trapani in Sicily.
Amarjeet Bishnoi, the logistics operator for the Rohit Godara gang, was named in the murder of Raju Seth. He had a bounty of ₹50,000 on his head.
Amarjeet Bishnoi faces eight cases and is also a suspect in the murder of Sachin Goda in Haryana.
The 30-year-old from Bikaner, Rajasthan, started committing crimes when he was 22 years old. He was a member of the Rohit Godara gang, which is also affiliated with the Lawrence Bishnoi gang.
While pursuing Rohit Godara gang members, the police learned during interrogation that Amarjeet Bishnoi was in Italy. The Rajasthan Police promptly contacted Interpol through the Central Bureau of Investigation.
Amarjeet was arrested by Italian Authorities on July 8.
The Rajasthan Police is now working on bringing him back. The process is expected to be lengthy and will require the intervention of the foreign ministry.
