In a smartphone one looks at design, user comfort, tech advancement and above all price tag. Samsung’s latest launch Galaxy Z Flip3 is well fitted in the above three category. Price for such a device is always not the primary interest for a consumer. Z Flip3 in its very first look gives the foldable smartphone industry maybe the breakthrough it has been waiting for.
SAMSUNG GALAXY Z FLIP 3 FIRST IMPRESSIONS
The device is all you would have wished for and beyond. First and foremost, it looks attractive, sturdy and most importantly is much better than its predecessor. The hinge is no longer the hitch in the device. I got the Phantom Black colour variant it is also available in a Cream variant.
The device feels uber premium with the finish glass on the top. Very easy to carry but still can’t be flipped with a single hand. On the top you get a screen which is larger than the previous model. Making it way more useful. Even with the camera module on the top it is well placed and sleekly designed.
When the screen is flipped open, you get a 6.7-inch AMOLED display. Even though the screen size is the same as the previous model it gets a much thinner bezel making the screen look much larger.
Samsung has also achieved an IPX8 rating on the Galaxy Z Flip 3, which makes the foldable smartphone water-resistance. The X in IPX8 means that the phone is not dust resistant.
Z Flip 3 gets the new 120Hz high refresh rate panel. The display feels much brighter & smoother than before. The battery seemed to work decently well.
The camera needs more testing but at the initial testing the night mode has been the real hook for me on this device.
