When you pack your bags, keep digestive health in mind. Stomach problems like diarrhea, constipation, and indigestion are all-too-common travel companions.Travel disrupts many of the body’s natural rhythms, including digestion. Time changes, altered eating schedules, and impaired sleep are all likely culprits, especially in those who already have sensitive guts. Travel diarrhea can be prevented by avoiding contaminated food and water and practicing good hygiene by washing hands often. Travel constipation happens when you don’t keep to your regular schedule. Make sure your pre-travel diet includes plenty of fibre. Minimize your intake of processed foods. Pack healthy snacks to eat, or buy them at local groceries. Luckily Indian cuisine offers a plethora of healthy food options that can be easily carried while traveling.

1. Dry fruits: like apricots, dates, raisins, and figs are excellent sources of fiber, vitamins, and minerals.

2. Roasted chana are a low-calorie, high-fiber snack that is hassle-free to carry.

3. Makhana also known as fox nuts, that is low in calories and high in protein, making it an excellent source of energy.

4. Dhokla: is a steamed snack made from fermented chickpea batter. It is rich in protein and provides instant energy.
