After finishing fourth in the women’s 3000m steeplechase final at the Paris Olympics 2024, Alice Finot celebrated her accomplishment in a uniquely heartfelt way. She made her way to the stands to propose to her longtime partner, Spanish triathlete Bruno Martínez Bargiela.

A video capturing this touching moment was widely shared on social media, quickly gaining traction. It shows Finot hurrying to the stands, retrieving a pin from her pocket, and kneeling to propose to Bargiela. Surprised and moved, Bargiela embraced her immediately.

Opting for an unconventional choice, Finot used an Olympic pin rather than a traditional ring to symbolize her proposal. The video, posted on August 8, has since garnered over 24 million views, along with numerous likes and comments.
