Celebrating a remarkable milestone in his illustrious career, veteran actor Jackie Shroff took to Instagram to mark the 40th anniversary of his iconic film ‘Hero.’ Directed by Subhash Ghai, the movie, which catapulted Jackie to stardom, also starred Meenakshi Seshadri, along with late actors Amrish Puri, Shammi Kapoor, and Sanjeev Kumar.

Jackie Shroff shared a heartfelt video on Instagram, reminiscing about the memorable moments from ‘Hero’ and captioning it as “From Dust to Star… #Hero #40years.” The film’s director, Subhash Ghai, also joined in the celebration, acknowledging the launch of Mukta Arts Pvt Ltd and highlighting the various accomplishments associated with the movie.

‘Hero,’ released in 1983, not only became a massive box office success but also left an indelible mark on Indian cinema. The film’s music, composed by Laxmikant-Pyarelal, added to its charm, featuring timeless songs like ‘Pyar Karne Wale Kabhi Darte Nahin,’ ‘Tu Mera Janu Hai,’ and ‘Ding Dong Oh Baby Sing A Song.’

The narrative of ‘Hero’ resonated with audiences, and Jackie Shroff’s stellar performance turned him into an overnight sensation. The film ran for 75 weeks, including in Tamilnadu, and inspired successful remakes in various South Indian languages.
