McDonald’s is rolling out a refreshing soft serve for this summer. The fast-food chain announced on Monday it had launched a new limited-time McFlurry flavor for this season: Kit Kat Banana Split. Here is everything you want to know about their latest offering.
The Kit Kat Banana Split McFlurry will be available nationwide at participating McDonald’s restaurants beginning Wednesday, July 10, for a limited time only. Dubbed a “cool, creamy treat,” the newest flavor promotes the chain’s creamy vanilla soft serve smacking of a shot of real banana with strawberry clusters and chocolatey, crunchy pieces of KIT KAT wafer bars in every bite.
On top of the new McFlurry, McDonald’s also is bringing back the Smoky BLT Quarter Pounder, which first appeared on menus in 2022. This returning sandwich will arrive at participating restaurants nationwide on July 10. It features a quarter-pound beef patty, two slices of American cheese, three half-strips of thick-cut Applewood Smoked bacon, three fresh Roma tomatoes, shredded lettuce, and special smoky BLT sauce on a toasted sesame seed bun.
This comes on the heels of McDonald’s releasing a Grandma McFlurry, a throwback dessert modeled after grandmas everywhere. This dessert features syrup and chopped, crunchy candy pieces blended with creamy vanilla soft serve—an ideal sweet treat to share with a grandma or a dear grandmother-figure in your life.
McDonald’s seems to pump out new flavors of their popular McFlurry desserts nonstop. Earlier this year, the fast-food juggernaut revived the fan favorite Shamrock Shake just in time for St. Patrick’s Day. Made with creamy vanilla soft serve blended with mint syrup and topped with sweet whipped topping, many were excited to see its return. For that same holiday, it also developed a Shamrock McFlurry that is blended with crushed OREO cookies.
