Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni enjoyed a pre-G20 Summit dinner at Delhi’s CHÔ, a renowned Vietnamese restaurant, in the lead-up to the international event. The menu was specially curated by Chef Vaibhav Bhargava to accommodate dietary restrictions, with a focus on a no-onion, no-garlic selection. CHÔ was chosen as the venue for this exclusive dinner, attended by Prime Minister Meloni and 40 other delegates. The meal featured signature Vietnamese dishes, including pho, rice paper rolls, dumplings, noodles, and a specially crafted Vietnamese curry. The entire menu adhered to the Farm-to-Fork concept, using fresh, locally-sourced ingredients. Prime Minister Meloni’s warm and friendly demeanor made everyone feel welcome and appreciated. She praised the meal, including the Kataifi prawns, and enjoyed desserts like toffee pudding and choux bun with water chestnut mousse. Prime Minister Meloni expressed her desire to visit Vietnam for its cuisine, mentioning that she had contemplated a food-focused trip ther. She preferred simple, homely Indian-made wines and beers over extravagant options. Her maternal nature was evident as she cared for her daughter during the dinner. Overall, the experience was immensely gratifying for the CHÔ team, who were thrilled to provide exceptional hospitality to such a distinguished guest.
