A farewell celebration was held at Amar Professional Nursing College in Dayalpura village, Zirakpur, with MLA Kuljit Singh Randhawa as the distinguished guest, offering reassurance to the college management of his full support. In the course of the event, Dr. Puneet Girdhar, the Registrar of PNRC, reminisced about his college experiences while speaking to the audience.
The Programme commenced with the traditional lighting of the lamp and the worship of Goddess Saraswati Vandana. Students from various classes presented a vibrant and cultural programme. As part of the event, a play was performed by young students conveying a message to the youth to steer clear of drugs.
The play depicted the story of a school-going student who falls into the trap of drug addiction due to bad company. It highlighted the journey of recovery after the student’s family admitted him to a de-addiction center, illustrating the challenges and eventual return to a healthier life.
Yashasvi and Mr. Diwanshi from the B.Sc. Nursing 4th class were honored as Miss and Mister Farewell of GNM 3rd class, respectively. Hushanpreet Kaur from the 1st year B.Sc. Nursing received the title of Miss Fresher, and Akash from the 1st year B.Sc. was recognized as Mr. Fresher. The event saw a warm welcome extended to the attending guests by College Chairman Manoj Sharma and Principal Babita Sood.
