Congress MLA Luizinho Faleiro, who had resigned from the party and the post on Tuesday in Goa, will be joining Trinamool Congress (TMC) on Wednesday in the presence of TMC supremo and West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee. MLA of the Maharashtrawadi Gomantak Party (MGP) Lavoo Mamledar will also be joining the TMC.
Others from the Congress joining the TMC include former general secretaries of Goa Pradesh Congress Committee Yatish Naik and Vijai Pai, senior lawyer Antonio Clovis da Costa, and writer N Shivdas. The former Chief Minister had resigned from the party and from the membership of the Legislative Assembly on Tuesday. While addressing a press conference, Faleiro had refused to reveal which party he was heading for though he had praised Banerjee.
