Ex-Congress minister booked by CBI in Roshni land scam

Former Jammu and Kashmir Minister and Congress leader Taj Mohiuddin was booked by Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) in the Roshni land scam.Soon after being booked, Taj Mohiuddin told the media that he submitted his nomination papers as the Congress party’s candidate from Uri block of North Kashmir and heard that he has been booked.Incidentally earlier, PDP youth leader Waheed Parra was also arrested by NIA after he filed his nomination for the DDC elections from South Kashmir. Taj Mohiuddin also said that the timing of booking him in the Roshni case is intriguing as he is the only former minister so far who has decided to contest DDC elections.Expressing concern over the problem of the people and claiming that the J&K administration has utterly failed to address issues of common people, Taj Mohiuddin said that he decided to contest DDC election only to address the problems of people in his area. When he was asked about the booking of CBI in a land scam, he said that he has done nothing wrong and under the proper government scheme he has availed land transfer like any other citizen.
