Initially, she did not plan on being an actress, having wanted to be an IPS officer or a pilot at one point.
Raveena Tandon entered Bollywood with the 1991 action movie Patthar Ke Phool, which starred Salman Khan. The film was a success at the box office and earned her a Filmfare Award for New Face of the Year.
She soon became a top star of the 90s with her striking features and dynamic dance numbers, best seen in the song "Tip Tip Barsa Pani" from the action movie Mohra (1994). Her box office successes are Dilwale (1994), Khiladiyon Ka Khiladi (1996), and the comedy hits Bade Miyan Chote Miyan (1998) and Dulhe Raja (1998) with Govinda.
