For a film starring fresh faces, it has outperformed expectations by surpassing other releases in terms of its two-day box office collection. Starring debutant Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda in lead roles, this romance film has crossed the ₹45 crore mark on day 2.

According to reports by Sacnilk, the Mohit Suri film opened to a first-day collection of ₹21 crore, a big number for a film starring fresh faces. On its second day, the film minted ₹24 crores at the box office, taking its two-day total to ₹45 crores. It also has an IMDb rating of 8.5 with 11 thousand user reviews.
In terms of two-day box office collection, Saiyaara has already surpassed multiple releases starring popular actors. This includes the John Abraham starter, The Diplomat, which did a business of ₹40.73 crore in two days. Additionally, it also surpassed the two-day collection of Maa, starring Kajol (₹38.51 crore), Deva, starring Shahid Kapoor (₹33.97 crore) and the recently released Maalik, starring Rajkummar Rao, which did a business of ₹ 23.27 crore in two days of release.

However, in contrast to its box office collection, the film has received mixed reviews. Most reviews are calling the film an average watch with a lot of similarities to Aashiqui 2. One comprehensive review on X called it "a charming and sweet love story."
