Bigg Boss 19, hosted by Salman Khan, has been making waves since its premiere nearly ten days ago while fans are not only hooked on the drama inside the house but also curious about the eye-popping salaries of the contestants. Leading the pack is TV star Gaurav Khanna, who reportedly charges ₹17.5 lakhs a week, making him the highest-paid participant this season. Sources also revealed that he may bag a new show with Star or Colors once his Bigg Boss stint ends.
According to The Indian Express, Gaurav Khanna, known for his role in Anupama and recent victory in Celebrity MasterChef, earns ₹2.5 lakh per day for his appearance. He was reportedly among the last contestants to be finalized for the show. Music composer Amaal Mallik follows him on the pay scale, earning roughly ₹1.25 lakh per day.

In Bigg Boss history, Pamela Anderson remains the top earner, pocketing ₹2.5 crore for just three days on Bigg Boss 4 and comparatively, Gaurav Khanna ranks sixth among the top 10 highest-paid contestants ever. Season 12’s Karanveer Bohra drew ₹20 lakhs a week, while popular contestants Awez Darbar and Ashnoor Kaur are reportedly earning around ₹6 lakhs weekly. Pranit More and Mridul Tiwari currently sit at the bottom of the pay scale this season.
The Bigg Boss 19 house has already seen intense drama. A massive fight broke out between Farrhana Bhatt and Baseer Ali, which escalated to property damage when Baseer threw Farrhana’s mattress into the swimming pool while Kunickaa Sadanand lost her immunity after being disqualified from the captaincy task, allowing Ashnoor Kaur to secure immunity in her place.
Contestants seem to have formed distinct alliances. Gaurav Khanna, Abhishek Bajaj, Nagma Mirajkar, Farrhana Bhatt, and Mridul Tiwari make up one group, while Amaal Mallik, Zeishan Quadri, Baseer Ali, Nehal Chudasama, and Ashnoor Kaur appear to belong to another and a third team includes Kunickaa Sadanand, Tanya Mittal, Neelam Giri, and Pranit More while Ashnoor Kaur and Natalia Stanoszek continue to play a neutral game.
