Amaal admitted that he never experienced the same kind of love again after that relationship.
Amaal Mallik is winning hearts with his honesty in Salman Khan’s reality show Bigg Boss 19. Within the first week, the music composer shared personal stories about his life. He spoke about his struggle with sleep apnea, his family issues, and his current relationship with a girl who is not in the Bigg Boss house.
But few people know that Amaal once dated a Haryanvi Jat girl, and her parents did not accept the relationship.
In an interview with Siddharth Kannan, Amaal revealed that he had a five-year-long relationship, and he shared that the relationship ended because of religious and cultural differences. Amaal explained that his father is Muslim, while his mother is Saraswat Brahmin Hindu, but his ex-girlfriend’s conservative family did not approve of this.

Amaal said, "I have friends from different religious backgrounds and for me to understand that someone is judging me based on my surname. It is good I did not associate as they are not my kind of people. Choti soch hogi toh dosti aur rishte bhi nai chalte. They were like we are Jats and they were like you are from this Islamic background."
Amaal admitted that he never experienced the same kind of love again after that relationship. He called it pure and beautiful, but also painful because it had no future.
He shared, "There was a beautiful relationship in my life from 2014 to 2018-19 and after that, I never found that kind of feeling in my heart ever, that love again. That was where you say ‘Light enters where the wound is,’ and that happened with me."
Amaal also said that he does not follow any religion strictly. He believes in good karma and wishes well for everyone.
When asked if he missed his ex, Amaal said the relationship was already a closed chapter. He admitted that he did go on dates after the breakup, but never built another serious relationship.

He said, "Nai yaar abhi dur aagayi hai kahanaani. Dates pe gaya hu serious relationship ban nai paya."
While speaking on Bigg Boss 19, Amaal also mentioned his current girlfriend, who is not a part of the show. He said she is worried about how things will go while he is inside the house.
He shared a heartfelt message, "I have kept your respect with me inside this house. After the show, we’ll sit down, have a meaningful talk, and fully understand each other."
