
President Murmu welcomes dignitaries, including Anupam Kher, at Rashtrapati Bhavan’s At-Home Independence Day event (Social Media)
An At-Home reception was organized by President Draupadi Murmu on Friday at Rashtrapati Bhavan on the occasion of the 79th Independence Day of India. The ceremony witnessed the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Ministers, high-ranking officials from the three-armed forces, and foreign envoys, underlining the essence of the national commemoration.
Among the guests, actor Anupam Kher expressed his deepest gratitude for the honor. He shared photographs from the event on his Instagram account with the following text: “Thank you Hon. Rashtrapati #DroupadiMurmu ji for inviting me to #RashtrapatiBhavan for the #AtHome ceremony. I felt honored and blessed! Earlier, Anupam had shared a video of the elegant invitation and expressed how proud he was to be part of the national commemoration.

Speaking to ANI, he sent his warm wishes to Indians worldwide: “Vishwabhar mein reh rahe sabhi Bharatvasiyon ko meri taraf se Swatantrata Diwas ki bahut shubhkamnaye. I pray that our nation continues to grow rapidly. The progress India has achieved over the years is a matter of pride for every Indian.”
The celebrations of Independence Day sat in parallel with Anupam Kher's success in cinema. His most recent release, Tanvi the Great, is his first directorial work in 20 years. The film, produced under Anupam Kher Studios with the NFDC, has garnered international acclaim with showings at Cannes and in New York, Houston and London.

While one can say that Kher's attendance at the At-Home event and the international showing of the film form one of the many bridges between national pride and artistic accomplishment.
