The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) recently introduced a new cricket tournament played with a tape ball, aiming to boost inclusivity and grassroots participation in the game. The announcement was made via social media.

This initiative follows the success of tape ball cricket in India, notably with the Indian Street Premier League T10 tournament. The tournament launch featured prominent England cricket stars such as Dawid Malan, Heather Knight, Adil Rashid, and Sophie Ecclestone.
