This week on We Women Want, we have the pleasure of speaking with Shaili Chopra, the founder of She the People TV and author of the book “Sisterhood Economy.” Our conversation delves into the inspiring stories of new-age women who are defying societal norms and making their mark in boardrooms and society as a whole.
For the modern woman, career and financial independence have become top priorities. They understand that these factors provide them with the necessary leverage and empowerment both at home and in the workplace. Today’s women are not interested in settling; they are determined to reset the rules and create a level playing field for themselves and future generations.
It is important to note that not all women are victims. While there are instances of discrimination and gender-based challenges, it is unfair to generalize and shame the entire sisterhood based on the actions of a few. Our goal is to shed light on the achievements, resilience, and aspirations of women from all walks of life.
We Women Want is a weekly show that delves into a wide range of issues that concern women across various demographics. Our discussions have covered topics such as body shaming, domestic violence, laws that impact women (both positively and negatively), reproductive health, menstruation, breast cancer, IVF, acid attack survivors, domestic violence, and women in the workplace.
The show, skilfully moderated by Priya Sahgal, Senior Executive Editor at ITV Network, has evolved into a supportive community for women. It provides a platform for women to share their stories, find solidarity, and work towards creating a more inclusive and equal society.
We are committed to amplifying the voices and experiences of women and addressing the challenges they face. Through our conversations and discussions, we aim to empower and inspire women to break barriers, pursue their dreams, and make a lasting impact on the world around them.
